Earn commission selling websites with no tech skills: a beginner's guide

Updated 2026-10-24 · Commission is a share of net money actually received, after a 14-day cooling period (30 days for hosting, email and SSL). No income is promised.

You do not have to know what HTML is to help a business get a website. Owners do not buy code; they buy "customers can find us and contact us." If you can spot a business that is missing that, and you can send a polite message, you can refer website work and receive a share when the client pays. This guide is for complete beginners: students, parents, shop staff, retirees, anyone who knows people with small businesses.

Disclosure: this page is published by Tuncer Technologies OPC (Davao City), which operates the partner program described here.

The job, in three sentences

  1. You notice a business that needs a website, a better one, or business email.
  2. You send them your partner link to the Tuncer Technologies store, with a clear note that you may earn a commission.
  3. If they pay, you receive a share of the NET money received. The team builds, supports and invoices everything.

That is all. You never touch a website, and you are never expected to answer technical questions. "I'll ask the team" is a perfectly good answer.

You join as an independent partner: there is no salary, no boss, no schedule and no quota, and this is not a job offer. You must be 18 or older.

Five signs a business needs a website

Look at businesses you already know, online or on your street:

  • They only have a Facebook page. Customers who search on Google find nothing.
  • Their phone number is the only way to book. No booking or contact form.
  • They use a free email address for the business.
  • Their site is old, slow, or hard to read on a phone.
  • They sell through chat and lose orders in the messages.

If you see one of these, the owner already has a problem you can help with.

What there is to recommend

Everything comes from tuncertech.com, sold by Poseidon Distribution OPC in the Philippines and Rundzee, LLC for the USA and the rest of the world, trading as Tuncer Technologies. Public list prices in the USA at the time of writing:

  • Starter Online (one-page website with contact form, plus a .com domain and a year of starter web hosting set up for the client): USD 229.
  • Business Ready (Starter Online plus business email setup and a speed and SEO fix): USD 449.
  • Business Pro (five-page website, business email setup, speed and SEO fix, domain and a year of business web hosting): USD 749.
  • Websites: for example a landing page at USD 249, a business website with CMS at USD 899, an online store at USD 1,495.

Prices differ by country (in the Philippines, Starter Online is ₱8,900) and can change. Always send the store link instead of quoting from memory.

What you receive

Commission is a share of NET, the money actually received after refunds, payment fees, taxes and direct costs. It is not a share of the list price.

  • Website packages: up to 15% of NET on each paid invoice.
  • Websites, apps and other services: up to 10% of NET on each paid invoice, including each paid month of a monthly care plan.

Example only, with made-up numbers. If a package sale leaves a NET of USD 150, up to 15% is up to USD 22.50. If a business website invoice leaves a NET of USD 600, up to 10% is up to USD 60. These are not forecasts. Many partners earn nothing, and nothing is paid unless a real customer pays. Read the income disclosure before you plan around any number.

What does not earn today: hosting or domains bought on their own (a separate billing system that tracking does not reach yet) and anything you buy yourself. Commission is booked in USD or PHP; a sale paid in another currency is converted to USD at that day's rate when it is recorded.

What to actually say

Keep it about their business, and put the disclosure in the same message. Two examples you can adapt:

Hi Maria, I tried to find the bakery's opening hours on Google and only found the Facebook page. If you ever want a simple one-page site with your own domain, this is the team I'd recommend: [your link]. Just so you know, I'm a partner and may earn a commission if you buy through my link (#ad).

Kuya, nakita ko na sa chat lang kayo tumatanggap ng orders. Gumagawa sila ng online store kung gusto ninyo: [your link]. #ad, may commission ako kapag bumili kayo through my link.

Then stop. If they are interested, they will reply. Follow up once, politely, a week later. Never more.

Five things beginners should never say

  1. "You will get more customers" or "you will rank on Google." Nobody can promise that.
  2. "I'm from Tuncer Technologies." You are an independent partner, not staff.
  3. Invented discounts or promo codes. Only prices and offers shown in the store are real.
  4. "It will be ready by Friday." The team confirms timelines, not you.
  5. Anything without #ad. Every post or message with your link must say you may earn a commission.

Your first week

  • Day 1: sign up free (about two minutes, or one tap with Google) and add your payout method.
  • Day 2: read the freelancers page, or the page for VAs and BPO pros if you are in the Philippines.
  • Day 3: write down ten businesses you know and check each one for the five signs above.
  • Day 4: open the Content Studio at /dashboard/studio (you need to be logged in) and pick one message template.
  • Day 5–7: send one or two honest messages to owners who actually showed one of the signs. Not more.

After a client pays, commission is pending for a 14-day cooling period (30 days for hosting, email and SSL); a refund reverses it. Then it is paid weekly once your approved balance reaches USD 25 or ₱1,000, by PayPal, bank transfer, GCash or Maya, minus the transfer fee.

FAQ

Do I really need zero technical knowledge?

You need no coding at all. It helps to know in plain words what a domain and a website are, and the free partner lessons explain that. Technical questions go to the Tuncer Technologies team.

Who builds the website and handles problems?

The Tuncer Technologies team does the design, build, setup, support and invoicing. You make the introduction and can stay in touch with the client if you want to.

How long until I can be paid?

After the client pays there is a 14-day cooling period (30 days for hosting, email and SSL) for refunds. Then commission is paid in the next weekly run once your approved balance reaches 25 US dollars or 1,000 pesos.

Is this a job?

No. You join as an independent partner, not an employee. There is no salary, no schedule and no quota, and you receive commission only when a client you referred pays.
