Freelancers are in an unusual position. Clients trust you, they ask your opinion, and they regularly need things you do not do yourself: a designer's client needs hosting, a copywriter's client needs a new website, a marketer's client needs an app. "High-ticket" affiliate programs, where a single sale is worth hundreds or thousands of dollars, can turn those moments into meaningful commission without changing your main work.
This guide compares the main types of high-ticket programs, lists the red flags, and explains where our own program fits.
Disclosure: this article is published by Tuncer Technologies OPC (Davao City), which operates the partner program we recommend below. We have tried to keep the comparison fair; check every program's current terms yourself.
What "high-ticket" means here
There is no official definition. In practice people use it for products or services where one customer pays a large amount, often USD 1,000 or more, or keeps paying for months. That changes the strategy:
- You need fewer customers, but each one takes longer to decide.
- Trust matters more than reach. A recommendation from someone the client already works with carries real weight.
- Freelancers who already talk to business owners have an advantage over people with large but anonymous audiences.
The main types, compared
| Type | Typical ticket | Commission style | Good fit for |
|---|---|---|---|
| B2B software (SaaS) | Monthly subscription | Often recurring for a period | Marketers, consultants |
| Web hosting | Yearly or monthly | One-time or recurring | Designers, developers |
| Course and creator platforms | Subscription | Often recurring | Coaches, creators |
| Web and app development services | Project invoices, often thousands | Share of each paid invoice | Designers, writers, VAs, marketers |
Rates vary widely between programs and change often, so compare the current terms rather than numbers in old blog posts.
Software is easy to demo, but each subscription is usually modest. Development services have the largest tickets, but you need a delivery partner you trust, because your reputation is attached to the result.
Red flags in "high-ticket" offers
- You must buy the course first to become an affiliate of the course. That is selling to yourself.
- Commission mainly for recruiting other affiliates rather than for real customers.
- Income screenshots and promises of a specific amount.
- No public terms about hold periods, refunds and payout methods.
- Lifestyle marketing instead of information about the product.
A good program tells you exactly how commission is calculated, when it is paid, and that many partners earn nothing.
Where the Tuncer Technologies partner program fits
Our program is in the last row of the table: web, app and digital services that a freelancer's clients actually need. It is free to join, and you can promote a catalogue of 130+ products from tuncertech.com:
- Larger projects: online stores (USD 1,495 list price), customer portals and learning websites (USD 1,995), and app packages such as a food delivery package (USD 3,995) or a combined app platform (USD 6,995). Commission: up to 10% of NET on each paid invoice.
- Monthly services such as app maintenance: up to 10% of NET on every paid month.
- Website packages (USD 229 to USD 749): up to 15% of NET on each paid invoice.
- Hosting: up to 25% of NET on each payment for 12 months.
- Premium domains: up to 20% of NET.
Consultants can also introduce company clients to Poseidon Distribution OPC deals, at up to 10% of NET on each paid invoice.
NET is the money actually received, minus refunds, payment fees, taxes and direct costs. Monthly tiers add +3 to +10 points when you refer more NET in a calendar month, and the total on any sale is capped at 25% of NET.
Example only, with made-up numbers. If a custom app project leaves a NET of USD 5,000 across its paid invoices, up to 10% is up to USD 500. A smaller website project with a NET of USD 1,000 would be up to USD 100. These figures are illustrations, not a forecast; most partners earn little or nothing. See the income disclosure.
How freelancers use it without changing their business
Designers: your client approves the brand; Tuncer Technologies builds the store or booking site. You can stay involved as the designer if the client wants.
Writers and marketers: you write the copy or run the campaigns; the client needs a faster site or a landing page that converts.
VAs and project managers: you spot the broken form, the expiring domain, the manual process that an app or AI automation could fix.
Developers: refer the projects you cannot take on, or hosting for sites you build. If you manage a client's site yourself, partners can buy at a partner price 20% below list and bill the client directly.
Useful tools inside your account:
- Payment links for a specific package or item, credited to you.
- A tracked link to the free website check at tuncertech.com, an easy conversation starter.
- Content Studio at /dashboard/studio (after you log in): client messages, post templates and scripts with your link and disclosure filled in.
- Campaign tags on your links, so you can see which message or post led to a sale.
Getting paid
Commission is created after the customer's payment arrives and stays pending for 30 days so refunds can be handled. Then it is paid weekly once your approved balance is at least USD 25 or ₱1,000, by PayPal, bank transfer, GCash or Maya, with any transfer fee deducted. Commission stays in the currency of the sale, USD or PHP.

FAQ
Is high-ticket affiliate marketing better than selling cheap products?
Not better, different. You need far fewer customers, but each decision takes longer and depends on trust. It suits freelancers who already talk to business owners more than it suits anonymous audiences.
Do I need to be a developer to refer app projects?
No. You introduce the client and share what they need; the Tuncer Technologies team scopes, quotes, builds and supports the project.
How is commission calculated on large projects?
As a share of the NET actually received on each paid invoice: up to 10% of NET for website and app projects. If a project is paid in stages, commission follows each paid invoice.
Can I combine this with other affiliate programs?
Yes, as long as you follow each program's rules, including our Partner Terms. Disclose every link: #ad on social media, and a plain "I may earn a commission" in messages.
